I won't bore you with details about me, but I am a combination of writer and photographic artist.
As a photographer I've spent a lot of time working on abstracts and randomness in photography - i.e., trying to remove my preconceptions and expectations from the pictures I take, and to do something different. I work using a very simple methodology: one camera, one lens. For my band photos I never use flash but do use long exposures, slow shutter speeds and anything else I can think of to bring some of the dynamism of live music to photography.
I have been writing fiction for a good 20 years, mainly quite short stories and prose and have finished writing my first novel and am now half way through the second. I have also contributed to Specter literary magazine and been published elsewhere. Follow this link to my every day photography and writing.
Stop Press: my first novel, The Darkness Beneath, is available in eBook format on Amazon.
